I'm with you - they were stunners, but I've not seen anything close to them over here, just horrible washed out far eastern mooned twisted jawed split barred runts - and that was the good ones.

Around here the Burundi aren't to bad. Its the Kigoma that are really bad.

Here are some pics of the alpha I lost Lee. He is the one on the far right in the first pic, you can see him directly next to the Alpha I still have in the second pic and there is a significant color difference. You can also see how drab some of my females are in comparison with yours.

The last pic I had to tinker with because there was too much glare on my hand, so he is a bit washed out and dim compared to the true color. I loved that fish, and so did the wife. He loved being petted, and would swim through your cupped hand. He especially loved my wife, as with me he would get bored after a minute or two, with her she would get bored of the petting before he did, usually 5 minutes or so.

Yes Lee, I did two separate orders, first was 5 fish, then 3 but they were both from the same group of imports. The latter group included the deep blue male, but the females were very gray. The first group had fairly blue females, but still not as blue as yours I suspect.
